Dr. Janet Chollet: Dr. Janet Chollet co-founded Procyrn LLC, a Boston biotechnology company focused on sustained-release biologics and reformulated antiviral treatments. At Procyrn, she guides translational strategy, clinical development, and regulatory planning. The company concentrates on areas where therapeutic gaps persist, including maternal–fetal health, neuroinflammation, and HPV-driven cervical disease. At Procyrn, Dr. Janet Chollet oversees several core therapeutic initiatives. The first, PC101, focuses on preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, two hypertensive disorders of pregnancy that often require preterm delivery. PC101 is a sustained-release hydrogel biologic designed to help stabilize maternal–fetal health and potentially reduce the need for early delivery. Preclinical validation has been completed, and the program continues to advance through collaborations with academic and laboratory partners. A second therapeutic program examines immune-modulating strategies for C9orf72-associated amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Although her specialty is obstetrics and gynecology, her experience with immune-related therapeutics supports her work in this area.
